  The National FFA Organization

The National FFA Organization

The National FFA Organization was founded by a group of young farmers back in 1928. Their mission was to prepare future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting-it's a science, it's a business and it's an art. FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet those challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of career pathways.

 Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association

Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association

Beginning in 1947, the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association has devoted its resources to promoting and protecting the Yuma agricultural industry. During the past year, YFVA has helped unify the vegetable industry. We organized and sponsored Yuma County Ag Leaders meetings where Yuma legislators and agricultural organization leaders came together and discussed critical issues. We brought the agricultural industry together at our acclaimed 2011 Southwest Ag Summit and the first annual Harvest Dinner, and joined with other national organizations in responding to USDA's proposal for a National Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement as well as participating in revisions to the governing statutes and the renewal of the Arizona Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement. We are always seeking new opportunities to promote and protect our members' interests.
